In light of comments recently made in the House of Commons by the local Labour MP, about the future of Corby Police Station, I have met with the Northamptonshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Adam Simmonds, to try and clarify the situation, as part of my Listening Campaign.

Today, the North Northamptonshire EU Referendum kicked off, and the first of the ballot papers were distributed to homes across the three parliamentary constituencies involved - Corby & East Northamptonshire, Kettering and Wellingborough.

Bone, Hollobone & Pursglove Launch North Northamptonshire EU Referendum!

Today, Peter Bone MP, Philip Hollobone MP and I, have launched a North Northamptonshire wide In-Out EU Referendum - the largest vote on this issue since 1975. Around a quarter of a million people will be eligible to take part and whatever their view, I would urge each and every single one to have their say, when the ballot papers drop on doormats, immediately after the European Elections in May.

A Very Welcome Victory for Lyveden New Bield!

I was delighted to learn today that the Court of Appeal has ruled to uphold the High Court's decision to quash the Planning Inspectorate’s approval for a wind turbine development close to Lyveden New Bield.

Rushden Lakes Decision Delayed - The Fight Goes On!

Today we learnt that the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government has delayed his decision on the Rushden Lakes development at Skew Bridge, which we had expected him to make on Thursday (13th February 2014).

Today, I met with John O’Leary, the Headteacher of King John School in Thrapston and Nick Hearne, the Headteacher of Thrapston Primary School, to discuss how the proposed changes to education in East Northamptonshire would affect their respective schools and pupils.
