It was great to visit the construction works at the Chowns Mill Roundabout at Irthlingborough recently to see how they are progressing with the remodelling of this important piece of local transport infrastructure that has long been dangerous and over-stretched. I was pleased to note that all systems are go and significant progress is being made, which is fantastic to see having campaigned hard for the funding for this project through my ‘Listening Campaign’ and having won Government backing for it. I was also really interested to hear of the local outreach projects that are being undertaken as part of the works, as it is always pleasing to see local communities directly involved and benefitting more broadly from the works. Fingers crossed for the earliest possible completion!
