Out and about in Oundle

It was good to be back out and about in Oundle recently, meeting with local residents and businesses to find out how things are in the town now that a number of the Coronavirus restrictions have been eased.


Fly-tipping presents an awful plight on our beautiful countryside and costs local councils a great deal of money to clear up - frustratingly, money which could be so much better spent on other important local services that improve the lives of residents.

Huxlow Science College

It was fantastic to hear that Huxlow Science College has been awarded £121,574 as part of the 2020-21 ‘Condition Improvement Fund’, which will be used for improvements on the school site.

NHS Coronavirus testing in Corby

I was recently informed by the Department of Health & Social Care that a new ‘walk-in’ Coronavirus testing centre has been set up at James Ashworth Square in Corby.

People’s Postcode Lottery Trust funding opportunity

The People’s Postcode Lottery Trust have opened for applications from local charities and organisations for funding. Grants are available for between £500 and £20,000, with applications open until the 19th August, so why not apply today!

The Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage

Applications are now open for the £92 million Culture Recovery Fund for Heritage, which is designed to help heritage organisations recover from the difficult effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.
