As part of another busy Friday in the constituency, I recently visited Fairline Yachts in Nene Valley, Oundle, to look around their production facility and to discuss their ambitious plans to further expand their Northamptonshire business, which is undoubtedly at the forefront of the luxury international yachting market.
As part of their growth plan for 2023 onwards, I was very pleased to see that they are hiring apprentices from a local college, providing appropriate training in a number of specialist areas, including carpentry and engineering, nurturing local talent and offering potential full-time positions on completion of the apprenticeships. Their recent family fun day was also a huge success, bringing employees and their loved ones together for what I hear was a great day had by all!
I was also proud to see them taking the business to new global heights, with progress being made in better accessing American and Asian markets, spreading their reputation for producing the highest-quality yachts.
I will continue to work closely with Fairline to ensure that this fantastic local business, with a big international reputation, is able to continue to achieve its potential as it seeks to expand, all the time providing high quality local jobs.
