As part of the recent Budget announcement, North Northamptonshire will receive an extra £1,494,000 to repair potholes across the area. This is of course very welcome news and will sit alongside the additional investment already being made by North Northamptonshire Council of £1.5 million, which is being spent across the area to carry out works such as pothole repairs, vegetation clearance, sign cleaning, road marking renewal, drainage investigation and much more.
Having pressed for more funding for such repairs from the Government, I shall certainly be arguing for our fair share to be spent on our roads here in Corby & East Northamptonshire and with that in mind, I would strongly encourage residents concerned about particular potholes or road defects to report them directly on Street Doctor, which can be found here, https://tinyurl.com/yujpuwnu, in order that they can be investigated and repaired accordingly. Equally, as ever, I am very willing to formally raise any concerns on your behalf if you could kindly provide the details to me via email on pursglovet@parliament.uk.
