Following my visit to Huxlow Academy in November, and raising their site issues with the council, I was pleased to visit again with representatives from North Northamptonshire Council (NNC) recently, to discuss what are much-needed improvements to their school buildings. The current buildings present a number of challenges; and their aim is to ensure that the school is accessible to all, which is vital, as well as to improve sports and changing facilities. I’m pleased that there was productive conversations had, that I was able to facilitate, and I’m looking forward to continuing to support them with NNC as they seek potential funding avenues from the Department for Education - bids I will absolutely support, as the school must be high on the list of those needing urgent attention and capital funding.
