I was pleased to hit the ground running following the Easter recess, by taking part in Home Office Questions in the House, answering questions on various key issues, including on how the Home Office are working collaboratively with colleagues in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office to ensure British Nationals with dependents in Gaza can leave safely, and how we are making solid progress in reducing the number of hotels used to accommodate asylum seekers, having now closed more than 100 by the end of March, with more to come, including a further 50 by the end of May. Much achieved, more to do, but we are making solid progress in delivering on our promises - all while others criticise, yet have no credible alternative solutions.
