The Corby Sixth Form is hosting an Open Day event this evening (18th January) and with GCSEs later this year for many students, this is a fantastic opportunity to go and find out more about the brilliant opportunities available for exciting next steps after finishing school. I was incredibly proud to open the Corby Sixth Form alongside the leader of North Northamptonshire Council a few weeks ago - a nearly £10 million regeneration investment right in the heart of our town centre, as part of the Government's 'Corby Town Deal' boost, which I campaigned hard to secure. I’m so pleased that the first cohort of students are already taking advantage of these first-class facilities, which include a roof garden café and the latest technology throughout, as well as a fantastic range of A-Level and Diploma subjects, including new courses being available locally. There really is something for everyone and this is a brilliant opportunity to be part of something new and inspiring, as one of the early cohorts of learners. It was great to meet some of the fantastic staff there recently, who I know are keen to use their expertise to guide students in the right direction, including offering advice and support regarding options, finance, welfare and transport.
