The vital Nationality & Borders Bill has returned a couple of times in the last few days to the House for Commons Consideration of Lords Amendments - as I have said many times, these are crucial reforms that will help us to end abuses of our immigration system, dramatically reduce the risk to life by ending the dangerous crossings of the Channel, whilst providing sanctuary to those who genuinely need it. As the Minister responsible, I press on in delivering these reforms, with the Bill continuing its journey through Parliament – but the time has now come to pass it into law, with dither and delaying tactics from our opponents no longer being acceptable.
