Last week, it was great to visit the Blue Skies factory in Corby with Baroness Sugg, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for International Development. This was a fantastic visit and it was great to learn about the work the company is doing internationally, which extends far beyond providing top quality fresh fruit to well-known suppliers in the UK and providing significant employment opportunities here in Corby. I really enjoyed chatting to employees live from Ghana and Senegal, and it was great to see fruit being prepared on the factory floor here in Corby - this is a business which is making a big economic impact locally, whilst helping developing countries to grow and prosper through free trade; an agenda I am hugely keen to see us progress further as a global trading nation.
