I was pleased to meet with Richard Blakeway, the Housing Ombudsman, to hear more about how the Ombudsman is ensuring that housing complaints are being dealt with fairly and thoroughly, something I know from dealing with many and varied housing cases over the years, is incredibly important to residents here in Corby & East Northamptonshire. I was interested to hear how the Ombudsman is working with local housing providers to ensure high standards of service, especially providing quality repairs and maintenance work in a timely manner - essentially, helping to ensure that good practice is widely understood and delivered in reality, whilst ensuring that when things do go wrong, it is put right without delay. I look forward to continuing to work with the Housing Ombudsman closely in future with regard to constituency housing issues that arise.
