I was pleased to check in at Pen Green on Friday to discuss some key issues, including SEN school provision locally, which I understand is especially significant at this time of year, particularly as we work to ensure all our young people have smooth transitions from early years' education in to other school settings. Providing appropriate, personalised, wraparound support for SEN students as they move through their school lives is vital, so as to allow students to thrive and learn essential skills. We had a useful conversation about what more could be done locally to improve these transitions and ensure all the right support is in place to facilitate it. Indeed, I look forward to continuing to work with Pen Green and North Northamptonshire Council on this issue to secure further improvements where we can.
