Recently, I convened a meeting in Middleton with residents and North Northamptonshire Council representatives to discuss concerns relating to dogs roaming loose in the area, as well as the ongoing planning issues involving the various unauthorised encampments. I felt this to be a productive meeting, in which residents were able to express their understandable concerns and NNC will no doubt continue to take appropriate steps to address these legitimate worries. Ultimately, it is totally unacceptable for dogs to be roaming around in the way that has been seen, with fatalities over several months, and obviously, all of the relevant planning rules must always be followed - without exception. I will of course continue to keep a close eye on these issues, as I have consistently to date. Thank you to all for attending this constructive meeting.
