On Monday, I took part in Home Office Questions in the House. These sessions are a good opportunity for scrutiny and review of the Government’s plans and I always really enjoy laying out the reasoning and, in places, setting the record straight in relation to the policies that this Government is driving forward, on behalf of the British people in tackling illegal migration. This session touched on a broad range of topical policies, such as the New Plan for Immigration, the issue of dangerous Channel crossings and what more can be done, through international cooperation and using the new powers that we have in place, to tackle this pressing issue.
