I recently spoke for the Government in an Adjournment Debate on the proposed re-opening of Campsfield House immigration removal centre in Oxfordshire. I am always keen to engage with local representatives on these matters to ensure that any concerns are appropriately considered and reflected on, but ultimately, we need to ensure sufficient resilience and capacity in the right locations for the men and women it is necessary to detain for the purposes of removal from our country, where they have no right to be here. With that in mind, we will continue driving forward the reforms needed to make our immigration system fairer and more effective. That is what the public expect, and what we are determined to deliver.
