I am always delighted to organise free guided tours of Parliament for my constituents. The walking tour of the Palace of Westminster includes:
-
Westminster Hall, the ancient hall at the heart of the Palace, where Parliament first sat and where many historic events have taken place.
-
The House of Commons, including the Speaker's Chair and the famous green benches and the 'lobbies' where MPs vote.
-
The House of Lords, including the Royal Throne.
-
The Queen's Robing Room, Royal Gallery and many other fascinating parts of the Palace of Westminster.
Please note that tours are popular and places are limited so generally have to be booked a couple of months in advance, and are only available on weekdays. I am also able to secure House of Commons gallery tickets for my constituents, along with tickets to see Prime Minister's Questions. Unfortunately, however, as PMQs is so popular, I do have a waiting list for tickets, but I try hard to secure them as regularly as possible and would be delighted to add any constituent on to the waiting list.
The Palace of Westminster is an incredible place to work, and so, if you would like to visit, please do not hesitate to get in touch, as I would be delighted to help organise something for you.
