Opening hours of schools in Corby:

I just wanted to say something about the ongoing consultation by the Brooke Weston Trust relating to the opening hours of their schools in Corby, having been contacted by a number of local parents about their concerns regarding the proposal.

Community Notices:

Taste Original in Corby (formerly known as Puredrive) have teamed up with Steel Fest 2019 to organise a 5-a-side football tournament open to businesses in support of the Red Kite Academy, a special school in Corby. It will take place on Sunday 26th May at the Corby Town football ground.

Kettering General Hospital

I was delighted to be informed by the Department of Health & Social Care that Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has been lifted from special measures. This followed an inspection by the Care Quality Commission, which found the Trust to be “Good” in many areas.

Question on British Steel:

After a Government Statement on British Steel, I impressed upon the House my expectation, and that of my constituents in Corby, that the Government must pull out all the stops to secure the future of this business.

Corby Advice Surgery:

During my recent Corby Advice Surgery, it was very useful to talk with representatives of local residents at Priors Hall Park about their concerns regarding an application for a waste conversion plant on the outskirts of the town.
