I had a great time on my visit to Hazel Leys Academy in Corby at the beginning of March. I was honoured to see their brand new running track, and be the first person to walk on it! This is a great investment for the school, not least because it means the pupils will now have a first-class facility to run their Daily Mile on! I also really enjoyed meeting the pupils and chatting to them about my role as the MP, and what goes on in Parliament. It was great to hear about their focus on constantly improving their vocabulary too and about how the school council shapes school life. All very impressive young people, who are a real credit to their school and our community!
