In an Urgent Question following the publication of the Serious Case Reviews relating to the shocking and horrendous murders of two toddlers in Northamptonshire, I asked the Minister what lessons can be learned to ensure that the failings in these horrific cases can never be repeated. I welcome the Minister’s thoughtful response and he spoke of the work undertaken in Doncaster to reverse failing outcomes there - lessons from which must be learnt in Northamptonshire too. I will be following progress closely as best practice from other parts of the country is implemented here in Northamptonshire - whilst it will never undo what has happened, this tragic loss of young life must never be able to happen again.
