On Wednesday 19th June, it was ‘Thank a Teacher Day’; a chance to pay tribute to teachers across Corby & East Northamptonshire who work so hard to give children in our community the best start possible in life. Locally, many more schools are now rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ than in 2010 – an achievement that wouldn’t be possible without the sheer dedication of teachers and school staff, and we can all think of teachers who went the extra mile and encouraged and inspired us when we were growing up. More generally, this Conservative Government is committed to supporting teachers, having grown the workforce by 10,000 since 2010. I would like to thank the teachers that supported me throughout my school years and why don’t you thank yours too!
