Today, I met with Mark Taitt, the Headteacher of Prince William School in Oundle to discuss how the proposed changes to education in East Northamptonshire would affect the school and its pupils.
Northamptonshire County Council has recently launched a consultation on the principle of changing the structure of educational provision in Oundle, Thrapston, Kings Cliffe and the surrounding areas of North East Northamptonshire, from a three-tier to a two-tier system. As part of my ‘Listening to Corby and East Northamptonshire Campaign’, I am keen to listen to the views of local people on this issue and ensure that all views are heard.
It was good to visit Prince William School in Oundle, and talk about how the proposed changes would affect the school and its pupils. It's clear to me that Prince William is a school on the up, and like local parents, I am very keen to ensure that this upward trend continues.
