I believe that keeping our roads safe for drivers and pedestrians alike is of utmost importance. As such, last week, I wrote to Kit Malthouse MP, the Minister of State for Housing, again pressing for a pedestrian crossing on the A43/Steel Road between Priors Hall and Weldon, to be factored into the ongoing development, and enquiring whether this could be delivered through a project recently granted Government funding. I have previously raised this proposal with Northamptonshire County Council and Highways England, and will continue to campaign on the issue, particularly in light of the benefit it would bring to local residents, given the safety implications, and the need for better connectivity between Priors Hall Park and Weldon.
