The planning application for a waste treatment plant at Shelton Road in Corby is one that has, quite understandably, attracted a lot of interest from local residents and thrown up a number of concerns. As a result, a number of residents got together and organised a petition to demonstrate the strength of local feeling against this proposal, which I was delighted to present on their behalf in Parliament. I would like to thank all those that signed the petition for raising their concerns in this way and making sure that their voices are heard, which I hope the planners will take into account when determining this application. Whilst my influence over planning matters such as this is somewhat limited, I will continue to do all I can to help keep the pressure up in support of concerned residents, and help them get answers to the questions they have.
