I was delighted to present a petition that I organised on behalf of all my constituents who want to see the result of the 2016 EU referendum respected and the result delivered upon, on the floor of the House of Commons, just before the House rose for the summer recess. This was an excellent opportunity to help keep the pressure up to ensure that the Brexit that people voted for locally, and nationally, is delivered - exactly as the Prime Minister has promised to do on the 31st October, come what may. Like him, I am committed to ensuring just that – no ifs, no buts - as the dither and delay has gone on long enough.
