As the son of two former Northamptonshire Police officers, safer streets and public safety matter greatly to me. I'm therefore honoured to have been asked to serve as the Policing Minister during this period of transition to help ensure we continue to deliver on our agenda and provide functioning government. Importantly, we will continue to put more police officers out on the beat, catching criminals and deterring crime.
