It is always great to see our area benefitting directly from the Government’s education policies and so I very much welcome the news that the David Ross Education Trust is to open a new free school primary in Corby, next to the Lodge Park Academy. It is expected to open in September 2015 and will eventually have 420 pupils from 4 to 11 and will be jointly funded by the Department for Education and the Trust.
We have already seen improved results at the Trust’s Lodge Park Academy and I hope that this additional new investment in Corby will help to improve parent choice and further drive up standards and results, as ultimately, we all want the best possible start in life for our children.
