Multi-agency meeting to discuss child safeguarding

Safeguarding for children

I recently attended an important meeting I convened between Northamptonshire County Council, the new Northamptonshire Children’s Trust and the Nene Education Trust who run a number of our local schools in East Northamptonshire, to discuss crucial safeguarding in schools across the county and some ideas they have which could lead the way nationally on this. Clearly, it is crucial that local bodies, schools and the local authorities continually coordinate and pool their resources, expertise and experiences to try and provide the best possible outcomes for local children and young people. I genuinely think they may be on to something cutting-edge here and will be following the progress of the dialogue closely and helping to advance it where I can.
