Recently, I had a good meeting with local residents regarding the proposed Cowthick Plantation development to talk through the proposals and hear their views on what is planned. This was a really useful meeting, feedback on which I shall be raising with the developer when I meet with them in the near future - there are several points around mitigation which really do need to be addressed, having not been satisfactorily to date. I have also raised their concerns with Ministers as part of the ongoing planning process. In these matters, whilst I don’t make the decisions, as your local MP, my job is to make sure local concerns are properly heard - and that’s exactly what I am doing.
