I recently organised a meeting with Middleton residents, local councillors, and officers from North Northamptonshire Council, to discuss serious concerns within the community about dogs residing at the two encampments in the village. There have been numerous reports of dogs running freely onto the highway, causing significant road safety related issues, worry and concern more generally, as well as, tragically, some of these dogs having been run over. It is clear that more needs to be done to ensure their safety, as well as the safety of the community, as an absolute priority - with that in mind, it was agreed that a plan of action will be developed to address this. I shall be sure to continue to closely monitor progress and assist residents in raising these concerns, going forward.
