It was really useful, as ever, to catch-up with the remarkable trustees of Corby Nightlight to discuss the work they are doing this winter and the importance of finding a base to work from over the next few months, and then beyond, to carry out their important work with local homeless people, as part of the wider collective support network in our area. I am incredibly supportive of the work they do and will continue to support the charity in finding appropriate premises both in the short-term and the longer-term. One person without a roof over their head is one too many, and recent extra Government funding to support local initiatives to tackle this will undoubtedly help, but charities like Nightlight do so much to improve the lives of those who find themselves in difficulty.
