The other day, I had a catch-up with the Chief Executive of the new North Northamptonshire Council to check-in on how things are progressing ahead of ‘Vesting Day’ on the 1st April. This is an exciting moment of change, but one undoubtedly tinged with real sadness as the new structure comes into being. However, the new North Northamptonshire Council has the potential to be a real success and we must seize that opportunity with both hands and deliver for local residents, so it was pleasing to hear that the robust preparations to deliver ‘safe and legal’ as it is known, are well in place.
