I am very proud (and relieved!) to have completed the 2021 London Marathon last Sunday. You can find a video I made in the run up to the big day, here: https://fb.watch/8w6KmqyMQZ/. It’s taken the best part of a week to recover from my 4:05 effort, but I enjoyed the challenge and it was all worth it as I have been fundraising for the brilliant Corby & East Northamptonshire charity, the Mintridge Foundation (https://www.mintridgefoundation.org.uk/), who inspire young people to get into sport by taking athletes and sports stars into schools, and Justice and Care (https://justiceandcare.org/), who do amazing work with modern slavery and human trafficking victims who have been through unthinkable trauma, supporting them to come forward and rebuild their lives. I have been very touched by all of the kind encouragement and support, but having again completed the course, I would really love any last support to boost my fundraising efforts a little more and to raise as big a sum as possible to help these charities carry on their important work! You can find my fundraising page, which is still open, here: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/TomPursglove. Thank you! And who knows, I may start pondering whether to run again next year over the weekend… only time will tell!
