Our brave emergency services workers – whether in the police, the fire service, or the ambulance service – are often exposed to horrific and traumatising experiences in the course of their duties. During Home Office Questions, I asked the Minister what work is being done to ensure that the very best mental health care is always available to those that keep us safe, day in, day out. In the Minister’s response, I was very reassured to hear that the Government is taking action on this important issue, particularly through the National Wellbeing Service.
