I recently met with the Chairman of Gretton Parish Council, and County Councillor Sandra Naden Horley, to discuss Gladman’s application for outline planning permission to build 100 new homes in the village. Corby Borough Council had previously denied the application, and so, as a consequence, Gladman’s have now taken the application to the Planning Inspectorate for appeal. I am clear that Gretton does not have the infrastructure to support this sudden increase in homes, we are already seeing significant development in the vicinity of the village, and this application would be detrimental to its rural character. As such, I will be working closely alongside Corby Borough Council and Gretton Parish Council, to oppose this appeal and argue that the views of local people should be respected.
