I was delighted to hear that, later today, Geddington Road in Corby will re-open to through-traffic, after the completion of the works to strengthen the railway bridge.
The project was jointly funded by Tata Steel and Northamptonshire County Council and as I understand it, the work involved casting a new, stronger, bridge deck on top of the existing one and building-up the strength of the bridge’s walls.
Once again, local Conservatives have delivered a much-needed road improvement for local people - particular thanks to Councillor Stan Heggs, who led the charge locally!
