Last week (2nd-8th September) was male Cancer Awareness Week and I am pleased to be supporting Orchid’s campaign; ‘FACE up to Prostate Cancer’.

Carnegie UK's 'Talk of the Town' project:

Carnegie UK has launched a new project called ‘Talk of the Town’. This aims to support storytelling in towns and offers individuals the opportunity to tell their own story.


Having been pushing for our inclusion for some months since the ‘Towns Fund’ initiative was first announced by the Government, I am absolutely delighted that Corby has been listed to bid for up to £25 million in support of regeneration projects in our town!

Pension Credit campaign - are you eligible?

It is important that older people who are entitled to receive Pension Credit do receive it, and following correspondence I have received from Independent Age, I am pleased to reaffirm that the Department for Work & Pensions is working hard to ensure that this happens and I am keen to help and
