Over the past week I have received a lot of correspondence in relation to the appeal to turn Brigstock Sawmill into a haulage yard - unfortunately, many of the campaign postcards I have received on this are without name, address and contact details and so it is not possible to respond to them individually, so I wanted to say something here by way of an update. Understandably, opposition to this proposal is gaining a lot of momentum among residents and I am working closely with them to ensure these concerns are heard loud and clear by the appropriate decision-makers. Indeed, as I understand it, this is a matter for the Traffic Commissioner’s Office to determine and I have also raised the concerns formally with the Leader and Chief Executive of North Northamptonshire Council, in the hope that they will look into this too. Ultimately, my job is to ensure that residents’ views are heard and properly considered as this application is determined and I will be sure to post any further updates as I receive them.
